Family Vision Outreach, Inc. (FO) was conceived by Pastor Judy H. Hal and the elders of Jesus Christ' Tabernacle of Deliverance church in the year of 2002. It is a community 501 (C3) organization with a mission to act as liaison between city, state and federal governments,

schools, parents, Juvenile Justice System, DFACS, Health Departments, family connection, Habitat for Humanity, Mary Alice Shipp Senior Center and other organizations serving children, Senior Citizens, and families. Our purpose is to serve at-risk youth and their families in our community by using innovative approaches of alleviating poverty, homelessness, racism, and illiteracy. Additionally, we want to ensure that every low and moderate income resident in our community has a place to live that is affordable, safe, and sanitary.

FVO has participated in Philanthropic Activities since its beginning, although within the past few years we have concentrated on feeding t h e hungry by purchasing food, and having giveaways throughout the year. We advertise food giveaways through flyers, media outlets, Southwest Georgia Housing Resource Guide, and word-of-mouth. We raised money by selling BBQ dinners and private funds from FVO. We partner with the Second Harvest ofSouth Georgia foodbank in order to purchase food for giveaways to the public. Hundreds of food bags and boxes are given away to needy families on a quarterly basis. We also provide children with wholesome snacks in the afternoon everyday to help alleviate hunger in the evenings.

Feeding the Hungry

Welcome to the Family Visions Outreach’s page on feeding the hungry. We believe that no one should go hungry, and we are committed to providing food assistance to those in need in our community.

Our food pantry is open to anyone who is struggling to put food on the table. We offer a variety of non-perishable items, as well as fresh produce and bread when available. Our pantry is stocked with nutritious foods to help families and individuals maintain a healthy diet.

We understand that hunger can be a sensitive issue, and we strive to provide our services with dignity and respect. Our staff and volunteers are committed to creating a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for all who seek our assistance.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help and support our community in any way we can. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who are struggling with hunger.
